The Nags Head Horse Hotel at Woodhill

A  boutique hotel focusing on treating the horses with the respect and dignity they deserve in a safe, fun, friendly environment.   This is a destination hotel – a place to bring  your human family and your dog for a fun holiday on the West Coast.  Whether you are taking part in one of the many great events at Woodhill Sands, passing through on your way Hunting or Eventing, keen for a gallop along the world famous Muriwai beach, need to look your best for your film debut, or just calling in for a few Spar treatments before an important dressage test, this is the place to be!

Horse security

Security and safety for our guests is paramount.   There is a cattle stop at the end of the main drive, and an automatic gate is siuated between the horses paddocks and the camping area, which allows for free passage for happy campers, but keeps an absconding horse within the property. The perimeter of the property is fenced with full wire or deer netting.  All horse paddocks are fenced with Gallagher Equine electric fencing on wooden posts.   A caretaker experienced with horses lives on the property.

HORSE HOTEL SHELTER AND PADDOCK PRICES INCLUDE ONE HORSE, $50 per HUMAN, THEIR METHOD OF TRANSPORT AND OVERNIGHT CAMPING IN THE NERVE CENTRE PADDOCK, USE OF THE CONCIERGE AND NERVE CENTRE FACILITIES, (SEE HUMAN SHARE THE TURF PLAN). THE RACE AND THE WOODLAND TRACKS and THE FLAT SCHOOLING AREA $35.00 ,THE CROSS COUNTY COURSE which is available to hire for $60 per horse per hour.  check out the photos in the gallery, and add the music to inspire you!
